An alleged kidnapper is now behind bars.
Around 9:30 Monday night, a Bowling Green man accused of kidnapping a four-year-old girl over the weekend was taken into custody.
"Y'all got the kidnapping babysitter that took the baby to its grandmother's house, for the record that is," said alleged kidnapper Billy Simpson.
WBKO asked during the perpetrator walk, so you're saying you didn't kidnap her?
"No sir, I did not. I took her on the same street from the grandparents house to the grandmother's house five miles down the street, called the other grandma and let her know where we were at," said Simpson.
Warren County Sheriff's deputies say tonight they found 29-year-old Billy Simpson hiding under the flooring of a shed behind an abandoned farmhouse in Richardsville.
Deputies say he had kidnapped a four-year-old girl from Carolyn Simpson, and stole Carolyn's vehicle from 4470 Glen Lily Road just after ten o'clock Saturday night.
They say the girl and the vehicle were both recovered later at 1265 Durbin Drive.
Deputies say a fight between Billy and Carolyn occurred before the alleged kidnapping.
Just after nine o'clock Monday night, Billy was booked into the Warren County Regional Jail.
Warren County Sheriff's Department thanked WBKO for putting the story on the air, they said they got several tips as a result that helped them find Simpson.
