Well that's exactly what happened Saturday in Alvaton. A crowd of around a dozen showed up to bid on the building and it only took about fifteen minutes to find the highest bidder.
"The turnout for the sale today (Saturday) was about what we expected. The price was in a range that all of us in our partnership thought the property would sell." commented David Chelf, who was the Auctioneer at the event.
The new owner is Mike Douglas of Alvaton who paid eighty thousand three hundred dollars for the building. The US Postal Service has a lease on the building until 2017, so it's in no danger of being closed.
