A fire destroyed a barn and killed several goats and birds in northeast Kentucky.
Firefighters say they are investigating the cause of the blaze early Wednesday morning in Rowan County, but added it may have been caused by an electrical issue.
Lisa Goldstein's fiancé owns the barn about 15 miles outside of Morehead. Goldstein told WLEX-TV in Lexington that dogs started barking around midnight, alerting them to the fire.
Goldstein says the goats were raised from babies and the fire has left the couple wondering what could have been done differently.
Goldstein says she felt "just tremendous sadness."
