BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - Those in the Bowling Green area may have seen a few more Corvettes driving around the past few days.
The annual National Corvette Museum Bash kicked off Thursday and runs through Saturday. More than 1,000 Corvettes have converged on the museum representing several generations. New this year is the area's first look at the C7 Stingray.
The new Corvette brings a special boost to the bash.
"Typically at this event we will have around 1,000 people. This year it looks like more than 2,500 and it's an indication of the excitement I think people have to see the new Corvette," says Executive Director Wendell Strode.
As part of the festivities several Corvettes are up for raffle to the public. The event wraps up Saturday with the annual Bash Banquet.
