Today Mount Olivet Church in Bowling Green celebrated it's 200th anniversary.

The church which was founded in 1813, is one of the first Cumberland Presbyterian denomination which now reaches into seventeen countries.

Church members gathered in attire from the 1800's to listen to speakers, re-enact camp meetings, and pray, in celebration of how much the church has grown.

They came together to reflect on the history in which it was founded.

"200 years ago pioneer preachers came and they visited homes and then they started having meeting out here in the wilderness and they met right on this site, and from a two or three week revival meeting they started this church," says Pastor Bob Bunnell.

Pastor Bunnell adds the church has recently bought more land and they hope to continue growing with the community.
