Police make an arrest, in connection to a Bowling Green bank robbery Monday.

Police say a Crime Stoppers tip led them to the suspect.

Bowling Green Police arrested James Russell, 43.

Russell has been charged with robbery.

Police say Russell entered south central bank demanding money, and told a teller he had a bomb in his pocket.

Crime stoppers received two tips indicating Russell was the robber.

On Tuesday police stopped a vehicle Russell was riding in.

They arrested and charged him with possession of methamphetamine.

Warren County Commonwealth Attorney Chris Cohron says if convicted Russell is looking at several years of jail time.

"With robbery alone he's looking at a sentence of up to 20 years as a violent offender which means he would have to serve 85 percent of his sentence. He's also looking at an additional up to three years for a drug charge. And another five years on a promoting contraband charge on an unrelated case," Cohron says.

Russell will be arraigned in Warren District court tomorrow.

Cohron expects a preliminary hearing to be set for December 27th.
