A Drug Task Force detective appeared before the Warren County Grand Jury last Wednesday, June 27, 2012. He presented the investigation of the largest psychedelic mushroom growing operation seen here in the last 30 years.
A search warrant executed at 317 Cedar Ridge Road on May 30, 2012 – just three blocks from W.R. McNeill Elementary School and Western Kentucky University’s main campus. The search warrant resulted in the seizure of 4.2 pounds of finished psychedelic mushrooms with a street value of $42,000. Also seized was the extensive growing operation with psychedelic mushrooms in various stages of growth.
Arrested on the indictments were:
Robert D. Robinson of 1223 Fox Wood Road, Frankfort, KY, Age 36
Marshall T. Robinson of 1223 Fox Wood Road, Frankfort, KY, Age 36
Both charged with:
Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 2nd Degree, Class D Felony
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Class A Misdemeanor
Marshall Robinson was arrested July 2, 2012 at 2:40 PM and his brother Robert Robinson was arrested July 3, 2012 at 9AM. Both arrested were in the limits of Bowling Green. At the time of the search both brothers lived at 317 Cedar Ridge Road, Bowling Green but during the arrest process they provided a Frankfort address.
Both brothers were lodged in the Warren County Jail pending bond or a hearing in Warren Circuit Court.
