BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- At Ashley Furniture people were dropping off gifts and leaving with some prizes of their own Saturday morning.
Stuff the Sleigh was held as the kick-off event for the annual Christmas for the Children event that helps kids in need get gifts during the holidays.
Organizers said they were hoping for a full "sleigh" by the end of the morning, because the more items donated, the more kids will be supported.
"We have forty-something children that will be here in December that we provide Christmas for. Everything from the Christmas dinner provided by Rafferty's, Montana Grill and Double Dogs. The big man himself is supposed to make a visit that night, so all the gifts that are donated today will go toward that," said Todd Bratcher from Ashley Furniture.
He said it's the seventh year for Christmas for the Children, and Ashley Furniture will accept donations through the first of December.
