BEIRUT (WBKO) -- A car bomb in Beirut killed Mohamad Chatah, a former Lebanese Ambassador to the United States. No one has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Chatah was a staunch critic of the militant group Hezbollah, and had tweeted about them just an hour before his death.

He was also opposed to Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad, whome he accused of meddling in Lebanon's affairs.
