Attorney General Rules Warren County Schools Breaks Law

The ruling is related to the dispute between the two school districts but unrelated to the hearings held this week. Attorney General Jack Conway has ruled the Warren County School Board violated the Open Meeting Act on April 29. The appeal was made by Cameron Lebedinsky. In her letter to the Attorney General she complained that she attempted to attend a Warren County School Board meeting on April 29 but was not allowed to enter. She argued that Warren County should have made better preperations to accomadate the large number of people who were in attendance. Warren County School Attorney Bart Darrell is quoted in the appeal as saying "it was not practical to move the meeting to a different place" due to the short notice. Again, this decision is expected to have no affect on the hearings that took place this week.
