LANCASTER, Ky. (AP) -- Authorities have released the identity of a body that was found in a central Kentucky field by a farmer mowing his pasture.
Garrard County Coroner Daryl Hodge told The Advocate Messenger (http://bit.ly/QisPRn) that the body was that of 55-year-old Floyd Smith of Crab Orchard.
Farmer Steven Crouch alerted authorities after he found the body while clearing the field. Hodge says Smith was "definitely deceased" before he was hit by the mower and that foul play isn't suspected in the death.
Kentucky State Police are handling the investigation.
