The Governor and first lady Jane Beshear were here to promote the Leader in Me program.
Organizers for tonight's event at the Sloan Convention Center say this was a milestone fundraiser that put totals over one-million dollars for the local Leader in Me program.
They say this area is blazing the trail by having the Leader in Me program.
"We're going to be the first community in the entire world to have this within our entire city and county school system. The reason that's important is it's teaching these seven habits to our school kids who will be able to take them and help them succeed not only throughout school, but for the rest of their life also," said the Leader in Me Co-Chairman Rick Wilson.
Wilson says they hope to raise one-point-six million dollars for the program.
