Holts admitted murdering 26-year-old Jamaal Covington and 21-year-old Latasia Kirk at Willow Creek Apartments in Bowling Green on April 21, 2005.
Last month he pleaded guilty to two murders. In Warren Circuit Court Friday, he was sentenced.
Gilbert Holts Jr. faces life in prison with eligibility for parole after 20 years.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives assisted in the investigation.
