FORT MORGAN, Al. (WBKO) -- A Bowling Green man goes missing in the waters off Gulf Shores, Alabama.
The Fort Morgan Volunteer Fire Chief confirms 34-year-old Joshua Kimbrough of Bowling Green was last seen swimming at The Beach Club near the Fort Morgan end of the peninsula about mid-afternoon Sunday.
According to Chief Sonny Emerson, first-responders and the U.S Coast Guard searched for Kimbrough until nightfall Sunday. Chief Emerson says they resumed looking for Kimbrough Monday, but due to stormy weather, crews only searched along the beach.
Once the weather cleared, the Coast Guard was to re-join the search. But Monday night, a body washed up on shore.
When we called him Monday night, the Baldwin County Assistant Coroner told us he had not yet arrived at the scene, so there's no way to know yet, if the body is that of Joshua Kimbrough. The Baldwin County Corner was to tell us the identify of the victim Tuesday.
WKRG-TV in Mobile, Alabama is reporting the city of Gulf Shores closed all the beaches, after four drownings occurred within 24 hours.
