The Bowling Green Police Department has purchased a new fleet of cruisers.
Eight 2013 Dodge Chargers will be making their way to the roads shortly.
The new cars come with the latest safety features like heavy duty disc breaks, all-speed traction control, and front and side impact airbags.
The city is responsible for fitting out the new cars.
"We put the lighting packages on the vehicles, do all the lettering, we install the radios, the siren boxes, the consoles, the prisoner cells," says Barry Harris, Bowling Green Fleet Manager.
Each car costed the city $33,200.
This is the first major vehicle purchase for BGPD since 2009.
