Bowling Green, Ky. – The Barren River Adult Day Care
Center (BRADC) has won two prestigious awards, Service Provider of the Year, and Outstanding Adult Staff Person of the Year at the district level from the Barren River Area Agency on Aging and Independent Living. Barren River Adult Day Care is part of the Barren River Area Development District (BRADD) which covers ten counties.

Barren River Adult Day Care won State Day Care of the Year awards in 2011 and 2012 and is now nominated for the 2013 award. The state winners will be announced in June.

Steve Creekmore, Director of Barren River Adult Day Care, says, “You can’t say enough good things about the staff. They are a group of workers that deliver every single day no matter what is asked of them.”

Staff serve not only the clients attending, but their families as well. Families know they can receive valuable resource information and guidance from the professional staff. The employees of Barren River Adult Day Care are always available to lend a helping hand as they recognize the struggles families face in caring for a loved one.

This year, staff member Le-Ann Hudson won the Outstanding Staff Person of the Year. Creekmore says, “Le-Ann is goal oriented and puts forth 110% plus every day, which makes her a valuable asset in serving the needs of others.”

The primary goal of Barren River Adult Day Care is to enhance the quality of life for all its clients. Staff use their creativity to develop daily adventures that aid memory recall, enhance sensory stimulation, and promote body strengthening.
