BREAKING: Fatal Semi-Truck Crash on I-65

Police are saying a man is dead after an accident involving a semi-truck that has an exit closed on I-65.

The exit that's closed is the Scottsville/Owensboro exit linking the Natcher Parkway and I-65, and police say it probably will be closed for at least 2 hours.

A witness says he saw the truck slide off the road when it was attempting to pass another semi.

The witness then says he saw the truck hit a post holding up the overpass, then smoke and fluid began to flow out of the truck.

Police say, the driver has been pronounced dead at the scene.
