BARREN COUNTY, Ky (WBKO) -- Another arrest has been made in a large scale cocaine distribution organization in the city of Glasgow.
A three year long joint investigation by the Barren-Edmonson-Allen Drug Task Force and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives has led to the indictment and arrest of Donnie Ray Johnson age 31 of Glasgow.
On Tuesday night March 18, 2014 at approximately 8:30pm, the Barren-Edmonson-Allen Drug Task Force and the ATF executed a federal indictment warrant on Johnson.
Johnson was lodged in the Warren County Detention Facility.
The federal indictment from the Western District of Kentucky filed on March 12, 2014 at Bowling Green charges Donnie Johnson with one count of conspiring with another to distribute five hundred grams or more of cocaine, one count of possessing with intent to distribute five hundred grams or more of cocaine and one count of money laundering.
The federal indictment also charges Cornelius Crenshaw age 24 from Glasgow with one count of conspiring with another to distribute five hundred grams or more of cocaine, four counts of possessing with intent to distribute cocaine, and four counts of firearm charges.
The indictment stems from a three year investigation by the Drug Task Force and ATF in which they seized over 1100 grams of cocaine and over $61,000 in cash in the city of Glasgow.
The investigation is continuing and additional arrests are pending.
