BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- A man and woman in Barren County are facing multiple marijuana charges.

Sheriff's deputies said they found nearly 150 plants being grown in the pair's home. The Barren County Sheriff's Office said around 3:00 Friday afternoon, they responded to a drug complaint on New Bowling Green Road. Deputies said after confiscating more than 150 plants, they arrested 31 year old Matthew Poynter and 25 year old Misty Keele.

"There were marijuana plants growing outside the house and inside the house. The deputies were able to arrest those two subjects at the house and confiscate the marijuana," said Sheriff Kent Keen.

Police said some of the plants were so tall, they reached higher than a truck bed. Poynter and Keele have both been released from jail. They're each facing multiple pot charges, including cultivation.
