Beam is Blocking Road in Logan County
For much of today, a bridge beam has been blocking Highway 68-80 in Logan County.
Russellville Police say just after 10 this morning, they were called to an accident at the city limits on Bowling Green Rd.
The beam is still blocking one lane in each direction, but traffic is able to get around the wreckage.
Police are waiting for another trailer to arrive on the scene, so two cranes can put the beam on it.
Police say a semi was driving the over sized load from Bowling Green to St. Louis.
"The driver believes that pin broke and released the beam into the roadway. There's no damage to any other vehicles except for the vehicle involved and to the roadway itself," said Russellville Police Public Information Officer Samantha Reeser.
Police expect the lanes to be cleared by 10 tonight.
