A weekend of Beatlemania gets under way this week in Louisville, where a free outdoor concert is being held Friday in the downtown area to spread the word.
Fourth Street Live is being closed to allow fans to gather in the street for music from three bands in tribute to the Beatles. Performers include Canada's Hal Bruce, England's Meet the Beatles and Italy's The Brothel Creepers.
The concert lasts from 11:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. EDT, but Abbey Road on the River continues through Monday on the Belvedere with more than 60 bands participating. Various ticket packages are available, and members of the military and their families can get free tickets to the festival.
