Big Red Inducted Into Mascot Challenge Hall of Fame

Western Kentucky University's mascot, Big Red, has been inducted as an inaugural member of the Capital One Mascot Challenge Hall of Fame.

Big Red has been a Capital One All-American Mascot and nominated for Mascot of the Year eight times: 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, and 2011.

The Capital One website states, "Big Red's presence and influence has helped to shape the Capital One Mascot Challenge as we see it today. Big Red's outstanding accomplishments, both on and off the field, exemplify what a mascot should be."
