Organizers of an annual bluegrass festival in western Kentucky have decided not to move the dates of next year's event.
The International Bluegrass Music Museum's ROMP: Bluegrass Roots & Branches Festival in Owensboro is usually held during the last weekend in June, but organizers decided to poll fans this year to see if they would favor moving it up to the last weekend in May.
The Messenger-Inquirer reports the board of trustees of the International Bluegrass Music Museum voted during their meeting on Monday in Nashville, Tenn., to keep the event on the last weekend in June even though survey results favored an earlier date.
Gray said the board decided it didn't want to mess with the success of the event.
