Police are investigating the death of a woman found near the Western Kentucky Parkway in Muhlenberg County.
Thursday just before 2:30 PM, a Kentucky State Police trooper stopped to check on a car that was parked in the westbound emergency lane between the 45 and 46 mile marker.
Police say no one was in the car, but the trooper noticed a dog standing on a nearby hill. Once the officer was near the dog, he noticed Kimberly Snodgrass, 44, from Vine Grove, lying on the ground.
The coroner says she was dead at the scene.
An autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow, but as of right now, police say foul play is not suspected in her death.
