Crews searching for a missing teenager in northeastern Kentucky have found his body in a quarry, three days after he disappeared during a hunting trip.
Kentucky State Police Trooper Endre Samu says a unit searching by aircraft spotted the body around 1 p.m. EST Tuesday a couple miles south of Flemingsburg.
Samu said the body was identified as that of 15-year-old Ricky Dean Hamilton Jr.
Officials said earlier that Hamilton was hunting deer with his father Saturday. The two split up and were to meet later at a specific area, but the teenager never arrived.
WAVE-TV in Louisville said the cause of death was deemed accidental but remained under investigation.
Police said it appeared Hamilton fell from a cliff into the quarry, which is about one-fourth mile from his home.
