Body Found in Lexington Storage Unit

Lexington Police Lt. Eric Lowe said officers were called to the facility after a federal agency received a tip. He declined to identify the agency.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) -- A body has been found in a storage unit in Lexington.

Fayette County Coroner Gary Ginn told media that his office was called to the Econo-Self Storage on Wednesday to help investigate. He says the body was taken to Frankfort for an autopsy that will be performed Thursday.

Investigators are trying to identify the body, determine how long it has been in the storage unit and how the person died.
