Body Pulled From River in Muhlenberg

Police in western Kentucky are investigating after search crews found a man's body and his car in the Green River.

The Muhlenberg County Sheriff's office says search crews found 42-year-old Mark T. Latham of Central City after boaters reported seeing a body in the river. Search crews later found Latham's vehicle in the water near the Central City boat ramp.

Muhlenberg County Coroner Tony Armour told the Messenger-Inquirer that an autopsy determined drowning was the preliminary cause of death.

Muhlenberg County Sheriff Curtis McGehee said Latham had been reported missing a few days before by his family. He says deputies aren't sure what happened, but they are investigating.
