FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) -- Searchers have recovered the body of a fisherman, who had been missing in Elkhorn creek in Franklin County.
Sheriff Pat Melton says that the body of Buford Barron III was found early Tuesday evening.
More than two dozen rescue squad members from Franklin and surrounding counties had searched for Barron since Sunday night when he fell into the creek while fishing.
Authorities said searchers spotted Barron's body on Monday, caught on a limb. They got within 20 feet of it when the limb gave way and the body submerged again.
