DANVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- Bourbon and barbecue are on the menu this weekend in Danville, where the city is celebrating its Third Ever Kentucky State BBQ Festival.
Tastings of signature bourbons from across the state and cocktails will be offered on Saturday and Sunday at Constitution Square State Historic Site.
In addition to the liquid refreshments, visitors can try some of the nation's best barbecue, served by celebrity pitmasters from programs on TLC, the Travel Channel and the Food Network.
Other events during the weekend include a 24-mile bicycle tour, bean-eating and hog-calling contests and a "backyardecue" contest for local grillmasters.
There's also a return of the Bourbon Barrel Art Project and Auction on Friday night, with proceeds benefiting Heart of Kentucky United Way.
