WARREN COUNTY, Ky. (WBKO) -- Bowling Green attorney Rebecca Simpson has announced plans to run for the Warren County Family Court judicial seat.
The Warren County native has been Warren County family law attorney for Kentucky Legal Aid since 2008 and has nearly 15 years of experience as a licensed attorney.
Simpson said she has assisted more than 3,100 people with family law matters, establishing custody for 900 children, helping more than 800 families through divorce and obtaining 170 orders of protection for domestic violence victims.
"I've been before Judge Huddleston and Judge Holderfield on a regular basis during the past nearly six years since I've been with Kentucky Legal Aid. I'm thoroughly familiar with all types of cases that come before the family court, and feel that I have the experience working before the court and dealing with families that makes me a contender in this race," Simpson said.
Simpson said her filing for Warren County Family Court Judge will become official in Frankfort on Tuesday.
