Circus Square Park played host to the Bicentennial Festival Saturday, which included inflatables, a bungee trampoline, and face painting just to name a few. The celebration also included a live performance from Blue Light Special. It was a day for family fun, but also a day to celebrate a city that has withstood the test of time.

"It's just a huge milestone, that we have come the city we have. For the past 200 years we've been growing and thriving, and we really want to look to do that in the future." said Kim Lancaster who is the Public Information Officer for the city of Bowling Green.

The week's events also included a writing contest, ticket giveaways to attractions in the city, and an open house at city hall. Bowling Green is now the third largest city in the commonwealth.
