Bowling Green firefighters received some real-life training as a building on Fairview Avenue, that's about to be demolished, served as a classroom.
Firefighters from the Bowling Green Fire Department replicated a fire and went in to save a fake family.
"When we go to a fire we generally don't know the complete layout of the building. We may have been in there several dozen times for maybe an inspection or a medical call, but when you put smoke in there and you change that up that changes the whole dynamic," said Marlee Boenig, with the Bowling Green Fire Department.
Those with the fire department hope this training helps them better serve the community.
