Bowling Green Man Arrested After Traffic Stop

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- A simple traffic stop ends with a Bowling Green man behind bars when police find more than expected.

Police arrested Josh Alexander after the traffic stop on Scottsville Road.

A deputy says he smelled marijuana coming from his car.

According to police Alexander admitted that he had a bag of marijuana.

With a more thorough search, police found a large amount of the drug, digital scales, and plastic baggies.

Alexander said he was on his way to meet someone at the Sonic on Scottsville Road which is in 1,000 feet of Greenwood High School.

He is at the Warren County Regional Jail facing several charges including, possession of drug paraphernalia, and trafficking a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school.
