The department is putting the finishing touches on its newest cruisers. The force just purchased eight new Dodge Chargers to add to the fleet. Though they make look sleek, they still have the power officers need in tough situations.
"We compared three or four different cars. The Charger performed as well, or better than some of the others. When it came down to cost, the Charger beat all of them." stated Bowling Green Police Officer Ronnie Ward.
Though these eight vehicles are the first to come in, don't be surprised to see more on the way. Police say, with the discontinuation of the Ford Crown Victoria, the Dodge Charger may be their new car of choice from now on.
