BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- A new mexican restaurant is opening in Bowling Green.
Qdoba Mexican Grill will open on Cave Mill Road at 11 o'clock Monday morning.
The first five people in line will get free burritos for a year, and the following 100 will get a free entree for their next visit.
Sunday afternoon was the VIP opening for friends and family, and the owner said he's eager to open for everyone.
"We're a fresh Mexican grill. There's no freezers. There's no microwaves in our restaurant. Everything is fresh grilled," said the owner, Jack Scharlow. "Bowling Green has been asking for a Qdoba for a long time. They're all around us. They're in Louisville. They're in Lexington and Nashville. We're coming to Elizabethtown as well. So it's a perfect spot for Bowling Green."
The restaurant will be open seven days a week from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
It will be the 24th Qdoba in Kentucky, and the first for the owner, who lives in Bowling Green.
