BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- A local restaurant is being recognized for its unique dining concept.
Double Dogs in Bowling Green cracked the Travel Channel's Chowdown Countdown which features 101 places to eat. The restaurant came in at #65 during the program that aired Sunday. In the end, it was the unique dish, a dog bowl that items are served in at the eatery that put them on the list.
"Bowling Green is rocking. Look around! Everybody is building. We're building stuff out by the interstate. This town has been invincible through a lot of tough times. We all felt it a few years ago but Bowling Green is a great place to be, great place to live, and a great place to eat," said Double Dogs Vice President, John Morrison.
Managers of the restaurant said the theme of the place is for people who love two things. Dogs and sports.
