BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- Whether they were bowling strikes or gutter balls, it didn't matter, because each bowler was helping out a good cause at Southern Lanes.
This weekend is Bowl for Kids' Sake, the largest annual fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Central Kentucky's, and the WBKO team even bowled.
The teams of bowlers have been collecting donations that go toward the organization.
"My philosophy on it is to go show these children what this community has to offer and how ultimately they can give back to the community itself. So it's a great way to be a positive role model, be an extra cheerleader, all while doing the normal, everyday activities that you're doing," said Susan Waggoner, the CEO of BBBS.
You can still register to bowl Sunday from one to four at Southern Lanes or next weekend at Ralphie's Fun Center in Glasgow.
They hope to raise 125,000 dollars.
