ROSSFORD, Ohio (AP) -- Police are trying to determine if a 9-year-old boy found walking along Interstate 75 in the dark was abducted in Tennessee and pushed out in northwest Ohio.
Rossford police Chief Glenn Goss tells local media that the boy was found walking along the highway Thursday night south of Toledo.
The boy tells officers he was abducted by masked men while walking home from a friend's house on Tuesday. He says his abductors pushed him out of the car on the interstate.
Goss says the boy was talking to a children's service investigator. His story hasn't been confirmed.
Goss says the child was in good shape except for marks on his arms and legs, apparently from being pushed out of the car.
