A teenage boy has died after he rode his all-terrain vehicle on a street in Lexington where a pickup truck hit it.
WKYT-TV said the youth died at University of Kentucky Hospital following the Thursday night crash. Video shown by the TV station showed a smashed windshield on the truck, following the accident.
Police said the youth ran a stop sign and rode into the path of the truck.
The Fayette County coroner's office identified the boy as 15-year-old Michael L. Sparks and said he died of multiple blunt-force trauma.
Police said counselors would be at the school where the boy was enrolled on Friday.
