Breckinridge Co. Escapee Caught

Robert Waddell, who fled Thursday night, was caught by police Saturday afternoon. Police say the forty-one year old was found around 4:30 in the North Fork community, close to Rough River Lake. That's when a store employee recognized him and called police. Sheriff Todd Pate says a jail employee was transporting Waddell from Breckinridge Memorial Hospital last night when the inmate used a sharp object to overpower the deputy. He then stole the van, leaving the deputy in a rural area.
