LOS ANGELES (AP) -- As Americans prepare for Fourth of July cookouts, there's a warning about contaminated chicken.
Chicken producer Foster Farms of California has issued a recall of 170 of its products.
The company's chicken has been linked to an outbreak of an antibiotic-resistant strain of salmonella that's made some 500 people sick over the past 16 months.
The products may also be labeled FoodMaxx, Kroger, Safeway, Savemart, Valbest and Sunland.
No fresh products currently in grocery stores are involved.
