LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) -- Police in Lexington have arrested a caregiver and her boyfriend, charging them with stealing from an elderly woman.
WTVQ-TV (http://bit.ly/N4Z5eE ) reported 35-year-old Jennifer Abney was a hired caregiver for a 92-year-old dementia patient. Investigators said Abney took her client's ATM card and gave it to 37-year-old Antonio Clark, who used it several times to withdraw money.
Police said the patient's account was drained of nearly $1,500.
Abney and Clark were in the Fayette County Detention Center on Friday, charged with exploiting an adult.
