A central Kentucky woman is set for trial Jan. 22 on charges that she stabbed and killed her boyfriend in 2010.
Court dockets show that 38-year-old Melinda S. Turner is set to face a jury in Scott County. The Georgetown News-Graphic reports that the trial may be delayed.
A grand jury indicted Turner on Nov. 18, 2010, on a charge of murder and being a persistent felony offender in the death of 26-year-old Maxwell Pomeroy, who was found three months earlier stabbed in the chest.
Turner told investigators that she witnessed his stabbing by an intruder in the home they shared. She said a second intruder fled.
Police began focusing on Turner in the case several months later.
