Charles Hammer To Appear In Court

Charles Hammer, the 81-year-old accused of murdering former Tompkinsville police chief Herbert Proffitt, will appear in Monroe County Court this morning at 9 a.m. for his arraignment.

The incident has left the small community was Tompkinsville saddened and in shock.

Thousands of officers from across the country attended Proffitt's funeral last Monday.

WBKO will be in court and have a full report tonight at 6:00.
