BARREN, Ky. (WBKO) -- A child was hurt in a single-vehicle accident in Barren County Saturday.
The accident happened on Tompkinsville Road at approximately 4:55 p.m.
Deputies say a 4-year-old was ejected from the vehicle when it lost control on a slippery road.
According to the Barren County Sheriff's Department, Jeffrey L. Williams, 40, of Glasgow, was traveling northbound when he lost control of his 1995 Jeep Wrangler on the slippery roadway. The vehicle traveled off the right shoulder of the roadway striking a fence, and ejecting 4-year-old Julia P. Williams onto the right shoulder of the roadway.
She was transported to TJ Samson Hospital for treatment of injuries and was later transported by ambulance to Kosair Children's Hospital in Louisville for further treatment. Her condition is unknown.
