Police in Franklin are trying to catch a woman who allegedly robbed Citizens First Bank, Monday morning.
It happened around 9:40 a.m.
Police say a woman in her mid-30's entered the bank in a disguise.
She was dressed in a t-shirt, shorts, and a white hat with rhinestones in the shape of a peace sign.
The suspect had blonde hair and was wearing a brunette wig with a pony tail.
Police say the suspect allegedly gave the bank teller a note saying, two African-American men had kidnapped her child and would kill her if she didn't come up with 80,000 dollars.
The teller gave her the money and the woman ran.
Police say she headed south on 31-W in a gray Honda Accord, stopping at a nearby Keystone gas station.
There she threw away her hat and glasses.
Police say she had covered almost her entire license plate with duck tape, but they were able to tell it was a Tennessee plate.
Witnesses then say she got on I-65 and headed south.
The FBI and Franklin Police are investigating the incident.
They have also notified several other police agencies in Kentucky and Tennessee.
There were no customers in the bank at the time of the robbery.
The bank has closed for the remainder of Monday.
