Some elementary school students got an Olympic sized treat this morning, when Bowling Green's very own Olympic gold medalist swimmer made an appearance to talk to the kids of Plano Elementary.
Claire Donahue showed up with her gold medal around her neck, and the students gave her a warm welcome.
She says she wants kids to know they can do anything they want if they work hard.
"As a kid I loved doing so many different things and I want them to understand, the importance of working hard in anything they do whether it be, not just sports, but school or art, or whatever they love doing," Donahue says.
Claire says it's important to give back to the community that has supported her throughout her college and Olympic career.
