Coats For Kids spent Saturday morning at Bowling Green ballpark handing out new and used coats to make sure area residents stay warm during the winter months ahead. Saturday was the first of three day that coats will be distributed, and they were coming of the racks pretty quickly.
"Last year was a very warm winter. It's been an hour and we've already given out well over two hundred coats. Before this we'd already given out two hundred and fifty. We're already close to five hundred an hour into the event and we still have two more days." said Coats for Kids Chair, Amanda Niven.
Families can also come and pick out coats for the winter on Tuesday November 20th starting at 9 a.m.; and also on December 8th. Both of those distribution days will take place at Bowling Green Ballpark.
