Colorado Movie Theater Shooting Trial Update


 Holmes has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity to more than 160 counts of murder and attempted murder in the shootings that killed 12 people and injured 70.

DENVER (AP) - Jurors at the Colorado movie theater shooting trial will be able to see some eerie self-portraits that James Holmes took with his cellphone, hours before the attack.

The judge in the case has ruled that prosecutors can use evidence from the phone at his trial.

They can also use evidence from his bank records, emails and computers.

Holmes has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity to more than 160 counts of murder and attempted murder in the shootings that killed 12 people and injured 70.
