BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- Many Bowling Green residents took a chance to get out of the cold Wednesday while also taking advantage of a group of services.
It's the 5th year the Community Connect event has been held at the Salvation Army in Bowling Green. Though health screenings, haircuts, and flu shots were all a part of the program, the difference made goes well beyond Wednesday.
"It helps people who came today to be able to know where the sources are to get help. There's a lot of people who come to our community that don't know where to go to seek help," said participant Particia Lindsey.
Services weren't the only thing provided at the event. Fruit Of The Loom was also there giving out clothing to families in need.
